Founded in 1961, Yves Saint Laurent was the first fashion house to introduce the concept of luxury prêt-à-porter to a 1966 collection called "Rive Gauche", synonymous with youth and freedom. This shift was a first critical step in the modernization of fashion and a revolution in the socio-cultural landscape. Yves Saint Laurent, under the creative guidance of Hedi Slimane from March 2012 to 2016, continues to position himself at the top of the luxury world. Today, SAINT LAURENT collections include ready-made women's and men's clothing, shoes, bags, small leather goods, jewelry, scarves, ties and glasses. The brand recently identified Anthony Vaccarello as the new creative director.
